Olea . prototype

To make a small, flat-packed table entirely free of screws  – this was the idea leading to Olea.

The design concept is embedded in the detailing of the legs’ intersection with the table top. The conic shape at the top of the turned legs is simply inserted upwards into the table tray, gravity and friction ensuring that the table remains sturdy. The concept is reliant on a snug and precise fit between parts - quality woodworking - the legs passing both through and past the edge of the table top. Detailing is further emphasized by the slight rim marking the table’s perimeter.
